How do I report reproducing words and music downloaded from websites?

If the website has been registered as an authorised publication for reproduction under the MRL, it will be listed under the 'Publication' option on the MRL tab in CopyReport; if the website you want is not listed then it is probably not authorised for use under the MRL. However, it is possible that the website has been authorised since you last installed/downloaded CopyReport; please check the MRL Authorised Publication List for the latest information on authorised publications, or contact our Customer Services staff on +44 (0)1323 436100.

When you have located the website under the 'Publication' option on the MRL tab, please either tick the songs that you have reproduced or, if the song(s) are not listed, enter the song details using the 'Song Not Found' option.

If the website is authorised but is not listed under the 'Publication' option on the MRL tab in CopyReport, you will need to enter it using the 'Publication Not Found' option: enter the website address in the 'Book Title' field, leave the 'ISBN' field blank, and add the website publisher in the 'Publisher' field. Next, enter the individual song details using the 'Song Not Found' option (leaving the 'Song Number' field blank).

If the website is not authorised you are not permitted to photocopy the music you have printed from it, and it should not be reported to CCLI.

Please note that your MRL does not authorise the downloading of words and music from websites, but only the reproduction of words and music previously downloaded from an authorised website.
